How Does Deoiler Work?

Deoiling is a crucial step in the production of fried foods. It not only effectively reduces the oil content on the food surface, making it crispier and more refreshing, but also extends its shelf life and improves product quality. Centrifugal deoiling machines are a common deoiling tool. But how does deoiler work?

How does deoiler work?
The core principle of this de-oiler is centrifugal separation. Inside the machine, a high-speed rotating drum is installed. The fried food passes through a conveyor and enters the de-oiler drum. As the drum rotates at high speed, the food also rotates with it. Because the density of oil is lower than that of the food itself, the strong centrifugal force quickly removes the fat from the food surface, which is then discharged through the filter holes in the drum and collected for recovery.

The entire process consists of the following steps:
Feeding: The fried food enters the de-oiling machine via a lifting and conveying device.
Acceleration: The motor drives the inner drum to begin high-speed rotation, creating a centrifugal field.
De-oiling: The food is subjected to centrifugal force in the drum, and surface fat is removed.
Slow down discharge: After de-oiling, the machine decelerates and automatically opens the discharge port.
Grease Recovery: The removed fat is recovered in a sump, filtered, and reused.

Deoiler structure:
Drum: The core component for centrifugal deoiling, typically made of stainless steel, with uniformly shaped filter holes on its inner wall.
Drive system: Consists of a motor, belt, or variable frequency drive system for speed regulation.
Support system: Includes the frame and shock absorbers to ensure smooth operation.
Oil collection system: Collects the discarded oil, preventing waste and facilitating cleaning.

Depending on the production requirements and output scale, you can choose different models of deoiling machines. We can also recommend according to your needs to ensure good deoiling effect.
